Man…i so miss the Maldives, being governed by mealtimes and being able to generally not have to be responsible for anything that’s happening in my world.

And here’s the gripe, came back from a week of awesome slacking-ness and stumbled right into the “Nokia battery replacement” exercise. I seriously wish I was having another week out there staring at the Indian Ocean. GT, you are damn heng. =)
In other news, chanced upon this article in ChannelNewsAsia which spoke about the opening of a Designers’ area at Md. Sultan. Impressive, given that this will be privately-funded and not govt-supported. Also, the founder with the brainwave is actually a designer by training, so trust him to be able to understand the challenges his industry faces. You can read more here.
Btw, nice quote by Marcus Chiang. Marcus Chiang, Founder of Designed In Singapore, said: “There are a lot of design institutes and a lot of design graduates. At the end of the day, maybe 10 to 15 percent go on to practise design. What happens to the rest? They become bankers and real estate sales people.
