Dark Knight, Flying into New Delhi and the Changi airport website
If you haven’t watched Dark Knight yet, go watch it. It’s good, the storyline is good, the actors are good and the visuals are awesome. ‘Nuff said.
Flying on a Sunday for work can make one extremely sian. Had to reach Delhi on Monday for a series of meetings before the trade conference on Tuesday. Helps that the trip started with a short makan session in the Silver Kris Lounge and ends with SQ’s biz class (comfortable) seats. Watched 3 movies and drank lots. *burp* *lol*
Surprisingly, the customs at the Indira Gandhi airport were really efficient. I was out of the airport within 20minutes, on the way to the Taj Palace Hotel. Even Changi with their biometric cost-so-much-to install system takes longer and I am a citizen!
Oh, and the gripe about the Changi Airport website? It amazes me that, whichever organization is trying to promote the retail experience in the public area of T3, the website is so super unfriendly. There doesn’t seem to exist anywhere on the internet a page that lists the retail tenants at T3. That makes it hard, I would say, for shoppers to want to make the long public transport trip to T3…only to find a McDonald’s, a BK and probably a Ya Kun. What shops? Maybe there are but you know, I would have to probably rely on a hunch. And if I were driving, I would just forget about it. Petrol is too expensive these days. If I were a tourist, I wouldn’t be too excited to land at T3. It’s more of the same old.
New terminal – so what, the website sucks.
Updated: Project 365
Uploaded several more shots on Project 365 – link is here.
Took a really nice shot with my new Sony H5. At least, I like to think it’s a nice shot – perhaps I had drunk abit too much by then? *lol*
Headed to Delhi at the end of next week – anyone with suggestions on good restaurants to have dinner at?
Announcing a new project on Flickr: Project 365
365 is the number of pictures I hope to take in a year that captures the tone and mood of each passing day.
Some days there might be no photos, other days more; but at the end of a year, the photos will serve as a reminder of times past and a map of how I view visual content.
I will load up my photos in a set located through my Flickr account here.
365 is also the number of days in a year, except when it’s a Leap Year. But that comes about every 4 years, so I figure that if this continues successfully for 4 years, it will be okay to take one more photo. OR I might just have to think of another project come next July.
Other current projects include “Sunlight Reflections” and “Walking around Singapore“. Links are also in the column to the right under “Pictures free your mind” category.
I got me a new toy…
…a Sony H5. It’s a 1.5 year old model from Sony but seems to fit my expectations of a semi-DSLR. Will post up some shots soon, need to find a funky pouch to carry the H5 in.
Team Singapore flag ceremony
Attended the Team Singapore Flag handing-over ceremony earlier this evening.
So I tried to keep the garden growing…
…with green grass, all of uniform length and spread out evenly across the little plot of ground I have. Naturally, not having a green thumb, things didn’t turn out the way I imagined it.
The weeds disagree with me though. Through absolutely none of my effort, the weeds are flourishing in the little plot of land, winding it’s way along the lattice-structured fencing. If I were judged on the different varieties of weeds growing in my garden, I would win an award.
I guess that’s something to be proud of. Anyway, once I save enough, I will probably tile up the little plot, invest in planters boxes and grow bamboo. Or sunflowers. That might be nice.
I seem to slide at posting when work seems to pile…
…and that’s not good. BUT it’s kinda tough when you stay late at work and the first reaction upon reaching home is to just crash out with a game. Or watch TV – Tuesday nights have got good programs – never thought I would admit that. Or just MSN and not log onto email. Cripes, you think it might be a slight bit not-so-good if you don’t even want to check your own personal emails when you get home.
Am sure that this does not apply to all those people who have the slacker-time to check email when they are at work. But it’s fine. Even though I have had to wean myself off MSN, and Skype and Twitter and FB and all those other (wonderful) connective technologies. I comfort myself with the idea and the impression that I am more productive at work and get more done…even though I am working 12 hour days.
I blame that part of the world that is 3 hours behind me. *lol*
Anyways – as I always do, my life for the past month…in pictures and captions.
This is Scamps. She’s my rabbit. Ain’t she cute? That’s her chair. She has laid claim to it and will give me the “beady” eye if I try to rush her for the chair.
We had a BBQ at my place about two weekends ago. Meat from The Butcher, tasted damn good. I want to try the Aussie set next!
Okay and we were definitely contented after the makan.
Right, and then on Mal & Kenneth’ wedding the week after at Shangri-la. Man, that is still a really nice ballroom even after all the many times I have been there for functions.
Congrats Mal and Kenneth! *grin* Wish you both lotsa joy and happiness!
The other wedding pictures are on Flickr so lemme know if you need to be added on.
Oh, and I watched several movies during the weeks. “Lord of the Rings – Return of the King” is a definite no-brainer. Watch that 20 times! “Kung-Fu Panda” was comedic but not a movie I would catch at the cinema; more of a in-flight entertainment movie. “Hancock” was not too bad. Will Smith was good as usual but the storyline was corny and anti-climatic. Wait for Chinese New Year repeats. “Get Smart” gets thumbs-up from me! I would watch it again to laugh through another weekend night. *lol*
